Robyn along with her family designed and built Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 1993. Then later in 2007 designed and built Prior Street Child Care & Development.
Robyn is a qualified teacher holding a Diploma of Education. She identified back in 1993 when opening Tarragindi Child Care & Development the community’s need for high quality care and education in a long day care setting. Since then Robyn has been carefully selecting professional, qualified educators (including Early Childhood Teachers) to ensure a welcoming, professional centre is maintained; while also upholding her philosophy of dedication to quality care and education.
Robyn is very hands on in the operation of the centre, readily available to support the staff and families.

Director / Nominated Supervisor
Monica joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2009.
Initially Monica completed a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) and started working immediately in child care, moving very quickly to the role of Director. She recognised that child care was moving into a new era and went back to part time study, completing a Graduate Diploma of Education (Educational Management).
Monica has previously worked in a small number of centres, in a variety of positions, including a role as a mentor to other Directors.
She had sometime away from the industry to have 2 children.
Monica is always willing to learn new skills and is committed to quality improvement through continued professional development.
Her greatest reward is being able to support a strong, committed team.

Operations Manager
Angela first commenced working at Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 1995 as the kindergarten teacher. She moved to Carina Heights Child Care & Development in 1999 taking on the role as centre Director through until 2008, before moving to the role of Operations Manager for both this centre and Prior Street Child Care and Development.
She holds a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and Bachelor of Education; is a Registered Teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers, as well as holding a Food Safety Supervisor qualification. Angela also holds a Certified Supervisor Certificate.
Angela’s role sees her visiting both our centres across the week to support management and staff in the HUGE task of operating a long day child care and development centre.

Human Resources Manager
Louise played a vital role in setting up and establishing Prior Street Child Care and Development, working hard to meet the opening date in January of 2007. She originally commenced work as the preschool teacher at Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2000. December 2015 saw Louise stepping into her new role as Human Resources Manager.
Louise is a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers, holds a Bachelor of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education Studies. She has diverse education experience working in the Early Childhood sector as well as primary schools in Australia and the UK.
Louise’s role will see her visit both our centres across her week. Her role is to support management and staff to maintain quality care and education.

Educational Leader
Wendy joined Tarragindi Child Care and Development in 2016. She works both at our centre and at our Prior Street centre, using her extensive early childhood knowledge and teaching experience to support and implement the Kindergarten program. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Early Childhood); she is passionate about contributing to the intellectual, social, emotional and physical development of young children.
Joey's Room


Yan (Emma) enjoys sharing her Chinese culture – this is where she was born and raised.
When working with children in the early childhood years, she enjoys supporting children’s learning and exploring. She aims to create a fun-filled, caring, playful, multicultural, and interesting environment where children find comfort and happiness.

Erina joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2021. She was born and raised in Japan. She has over 10 years of experience in retail as she loves fashion in Japan and Australia. She is currently studying towards a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
From a young age she dreamed of being a teacher, now she has a passion for children and seeing them grow and achieve many milestones in their life. At home she keeps busy with her little boy and enjoys taking a dip in the ocean. She loves to explore nature.

Possum's Room

Mailyn joined the centre in 2021, coming to us with 8 years’ experience. She holds a Certificates 3 in Children Services and working with all ages across the early childhood years. She enjoys working with children because they are full of life, with happy faces – she loves hearing their laughter. Mailyn is originally from the Philippines and has a daughter. Her hobbies include playing volleyball and running.
Thi joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2022. With her passion of working with children, she understands that early years play a critical role in the developmental journey of children, so she would like to be a part of their learning journey. She loves to support children to become the best version of themselves.
Thi holds Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and has been working with children of all ages since 2019.
In her spare time, she loves gardening and would like to share her interest with children.
Emu's Room

Cathy – After some lengthy soul searching during 2020 / 2021, Cathy who by this point had 11.5 years of experience as an educational assistant in Prep, decided to change career path but still wanted to work with children. We are very fortunate she chose to ‘re-join’ us late – having previously been a part of the centre team in 1995-1996.
Cathy holds a Certificate III in Children’s Services and is close to completing a Diploma in Children’s Services.
When working with fellow educators, Cathy seeks to create a place where children feel comfortable, safe, secure and confident to learn and develop and express themselves. She feels passionate about building strong relationships with children and their families and loves seeing the children grow and achieve development milestones.
Cathy takes great pride in being able to assist the children on their learning journey by creating a fun-filled & caring environment. Cathy also has 3 beautiful children of her own and loves to spend time at the beach, it is her happy place.

Finn joined Tarragindi Child Care and Development in 2018. He holds a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services.
Koala's Room / Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program

Vanessa joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2012, where before joining the koala room in 2020, she worked in lead educator roles with our Joey, Possum, Emu and After School Care groups. Vanessa holds both a Certificate 3 and Diploma in Children’s Services and a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood). Vanessa loves to create a warm, happy, welcoming environment for everyone; also ensuring the needs of each child are met through working closely with families. Within the environment, she aims to create a space that sparks a sense of awe, wonder and discovery.

Wendy joined Tarragindi Child Care and Development in 2016. After School Care


Kelsey joined Tarragindi Child Care and Development at the beginning of 2017 as an After School Care educator and room support. Kelsey holds a Certificate 3 – in Early Childhood Education and Care, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work through QUT.
Support Staff



Lina joined our centre in 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology, Certificate III in Children’s Services, and is currently studying a Diploma in Children’s Services. Combined with her professional training, Lina believes in education through enriching experiences, carriers of affection, attention, and listening. She is guided by listening and identifying each of the children’s needs, interests, and strengths – empowering them and guiding them to leave their mark.

Eri who joined our centre in 2022, holds a Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics and is currently working towards a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. She holds a Diploma of TESOL – using this together with her knowledge of Mandarin and Chinese when she taught.
Of growing up, Eri advises she’s “Chinese, born in Japan, lived on the Gold Coast her whole life, and moved to Brisbane in 2019’
Through nurture, love and care, Eri enjoys making genuine connections with each child to support their holistic development.
Her hobbies include:- travelling, arts and crafts, tending to her indoor plants.

Daisy joined our centre in 2021, not long after she began her early childhood education journey. She holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Daisy believes children learn through play and she enjoys engaging with them during this. She believes that the play environment should include engaged educators and hands-on experiences.
In her free time Daisy likes riding her bicycle and planting flowers in her garden.
Teresa joined our centre in 2021. She holds a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services and a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Teressa enjoys working with all age groups across the centre – watching each child learn and grow. Teresa appreciates that working as part of the centre team, she is continuing to learn and grow professionally herself.
Teresa who was born in the Solomon Islands, is from a family of 12! She moved to Brisbane in 2009 with her beautiful family including two daughters. In her spare time, she loves doing karaoke and golf with her family.
Kitchen


Young has completed a Kitchen Operations Course. She joined Tarragindi in 2020. You’ll find her in the kitchen from Wednesday to Friday. She is certainly a ‘foodie’, so much so she named her daughter after a very well known chef (Nigella).
Young has attended numerous cooking classes in Thailand and Vietnam, and has worked at various Japanese and Korean restaurants and cafes. She loves cooking, is passionate about different styles of cooking, and has a substantial library of cook books. She also loves experimenting and creating new recipes
Young strongly believes that providing nutritious meals to growing children is important and is very excited to be cooking meals for the Tarragindi children.

Kriti (on maternity leave) joined Tarragindi Child Care and Development in 2019. She comes to us from Perth and with 4 years experience in early childhood including as a food safety supervisor and room support. Kriti holds a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and a Certificate 3 in Children’s Services. She is passionate about cooking healthy, nutritious and flavoursome meals for the children with a special interest in food from different cultures. In her spare time, Kriti enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, listening to music and watching movies.
